I am aware that this has been published before at least a hundred times.
Nevertheless: Trying to shut down my Windows XP machine at 4AM. It gives me a tiny dialog of 5 options hidden in a drop-down. Why are those dialogs so tiny in 2007?
Looking at the dialog I have no possibility to switch to another app. I have a small laptop screen, but nevertheless it is much larger than the dialog. Why do I have to use a drop-down to switch between alternatives of shutting down, restarting, logging off...
There is plenty of space on my monitor and in case you want to show me a message that I cannot avoid (a modal dialog) - pls. - use the screen real estate available, i.e. at least 640 or 1024...
